Re: Star Wars Episodes VII VIII & IX

I tried watching TLJ the other day and I just couldn't sit through it all. J.J. Abrams had better pull something out of his ass so big it'll make his nose bleed for a week.

Re: Long downtime

Yo Arno! No need to apologize mate, we've all been busy I suppose. I just hopped on to update you guys on my situation and see how everyone was going. I sat down a couple of days ago and listened to a few Floyd albums and got a bit nostalgic. It's amazing how Pink Floyd always seems to put me in suc...

You've been to the UK? Huh... I never knew that.
Lived there between 1996 and 2006, mostly in Exeter Devon. Been to Wales once and spent the day in Swansea.

Re: The movies thread.

I've been keeping an eye on the Oscars today and I am thrilled that Frances McDormand and Sam Rockwell Both won Best Actress and Best Supporting Actor respectively for Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri. If you have not watched this film I highly recommend that you watch it, like soon. Or tod...

I had to wait awhile for the prices to come down. My seat was originally $150au not including all the bells and whistles.

Re: Roger Waters Us + Them tour. Perth 20/2/2018.

Did he use prerecorded audio for the vocals to help himself out or did he get out there and belt away all on his own? Kudos if he did, it sounds like he really strains himself to sing as he gets older. Him and David both. Where has this come from? I've been seeing rumours around the Internet that R...

Re: Roger Waters Us + Them tour. Perth 20/2/2018.

It sounded like he sang. Although it seemed that most of the songs were sung by David Gilmour (not THE David Gilmour, someone else, probably Jon Carin) He sounded good, really good.

Roger Waters Us + Them tour. Perth 20/2/2018.

Just Got home about an hour ago from the concert. And what a concert it was. I thought he was going to have a hard time topping The Wall as his best concert tour that he has ever done (or that I have seen any way) but I think he has. The seat I had was right at the top, as far as you can go. Sherpa'...

By the way Dyolf, I saw on the news this morning that Swansea was hit by an earthquake. Pretty freaky shit. That made world news?! Haha. Swansea is about 200 miles away from me. It made the Welsh news. When the UK has an earthquake, they're always extremely minor but they always make headlines here...

Re: The Beatles

I've seen more than my fair share of reviews for The Beatles that will dismiss negative criticisms because "they're The Beatles", so I know exactly what you mean. I've seen critics give The White Album a perfect score while tearing apart songs like "Wild Honey Pie" and "The Continuing Story of Bung...

Got my ticket. I go 20th Feb. Can't wait. Lucky you! My ticket is for June (I think). I had a look at the set list last night and I truly can't wait. He'll be playing a lot of my favorites. Yes! The set looks great. Although, having said that, I've seen some of it on YouTube and "One of These Days"...

Re: New KQED Footage....

I'm still waiting for the lost 1977 footage to resurface. Rumor has it that the final rehearsal show for the "In the Flesh" tour was video taped. I have first hand knowledge of this because I heard an interview way back in 1979-80 on a show called the King Biscuit Flower Hour. I don't remember who ...
