Upbeat and Catchy?

Post by Alec Taylor » Sat May 27, 2017 3:09 am

Asked this on Facebook, but I'm going to do it again here.

Let's brainstorm some PF tracks that are fairly upbeat and have a recognizable melody. Bonus if the track is a more "optimistic" or "positive" song. I've got a sort of experiment, almost like a "surprise", for the forums that I have in mind, but I need a little inspiration. Go!

Free Four is quite upbeat and catchy if you don't listen to the lyrics. I would argue Money as well.

Lucifer Sam? Or is that too dark? You can't have a non-upbeat surf groove... catchiness is subjective but few riffs come close to that one for me.

Nile Song and Ibiza Bar? Summer 68? One of These Days maybe?

Definitely The Gold It's In The... doesn't get much more upbeat than that.

There's not a lot upbeat after OBC, really.
