I've got a great interest in this project for sure, mate, but these last few weeks have been full of manic episodes, therapy, and making up missed homework. And The Final Cut isn't what one would call 'feel good' music. Give me some time, and I'll give it a spin. ;)

You might be interested to know that I've made a version of your set-list. In fact, it kinda inspired me to redo the second disc of my interpretation, to end with TSitS. But anyway, want me to upload it?

Yeah sure, but be careful. YouTube has been crazy on cracking down copyright material. My videos are even protected by fair use, but they threatened to shut me down if I continued to pursue my case. I know they got Quincy over the David Gilmour show.

Well color me jealous, they're always coming after my shit. Maybe it's an international thing, U.S. is one of those places that gets slammed with copyright crap (I think Germany and Australia are among the hardest hit too). I'll get it saved and try it out to see how it works.

Well, if you remember, my remix of Side 4 in The Endless River with High Hopes instead of Louder than Words was taken down, though maybe after a day or two. But yeah, it didn't last.

And I can attest to the Germany ban. Several of my vids on YT are seemingly un-viewable in Germany.

I'm really surprised that they haven't been taken down. Google has not shown any signs of letting go of its "shoot first, ask questions later" mentality in regards to copyright. If your videos haven't been detected at all that must mean their auto-claim bots (which funny enough, go against their policies IIRC, or maybe I'm thinking of something else) aren't running well. Well done on evading the system anyway!

Hah!

So, you guys view all the vids - both vids of my interpretation of TFC/AMLOR and SunShade's version (as hopefully edited well enough by myself) before they're found them bots. :p

I realize that my version with "Your Possible Pasts" going into "Learning to Fly" doesn't work so well from a lyrical standpoint. Guess my lack of familiarity with The Final Cut is starting to show.

The tracklist in the above vid is:

Side One
1. Signs of Life
2. The Post War Dream
3. Your Possible Pasts
4. One of the Few
5. Learning to Fly
6. The Gunner's Dream

Side Two
7. Terminal Frost
8. The Final Cut
9. Sorrow
10. Two Suns in the Sunset

I could've edited YPOP into LTF, but the transition would've been very difficult, as the clock sounds of OOTF appears very prominently near the end of the former track.

Well, I must admit, I'm kinda disappointed that my final version of my Requiem didn't garner any attention whatsoever. Fair enough, I already pestered the lot of you with too much talking about it.

Instead, I'm embarking on this first draft of what Relics should've been, as a "real" final Floyd record akin to Zeppelin's Coda (kinda goes in accordance to my Requiem version, as you'll see):

01. INTERSTELLAR OVERDRIVE (full-length version)
02. Winter ‘67 (my title for the Untitled track)
03. Vegetable Man (v. Barrett)
04. Sea Shell and Stone (v. Waters)

05. It Would Be So Nice (v. Wright)
06. Julia Dream (v. Waters)
07. Point Me at the Sky (v. Gilmour)
08. Careful with That Axe, Eugene
09. Chain of Life (v. Waters)
10. The Womb Bit

11. The Embryo (v. Gilmour)

12. Breathe (v. Waters)
13. The Dogs of War (v. Gilmour)
14. One Slip (v. Gilmour)
15. Sea Shell and Soft Stone
16. Nervana
17. TBS14, part 1
18. TBS14, part 2
19. Biding My Time (v. Waters)
20. Pink's Song (v. Wright)
21. Scream Thy Last Scream (v. Mason)
22. Give Birth to a Smile (v. Waters)

Basically, I took almost all of Waters' tracks from The Body and formed a semi-concept of birth and life, and it relates to the band metaphorically. Each different period is signaled by an acoustic turn by Waters - first change is after Syd left, then after the period they did singles but failed, then its the 70's as represented by Chain of Life, The Womb Bit, The Embryo and Breathe, then its after the 80's and Gilmour striking out, and the 90's, then a parting word from Waters, Wright and Mason, funnily enough.

Hey, PM me the link to your version. I'm in the middle of moving, ending school, starting a new job, etc, and I'll likely be without an Internet connection until mid-May. If you drop it in my inbox, it will be waiting for me to give it a listen. Sorry for being distant, just a lot of stuff going on right now, and finding the time to give a 2+ hour project a critical listen is tough at the moment. You do a great job on all of your mixes! :)

Alright, I'm combining the solid effort of Forever and Ever and my original Down to Earth draft to create a final product. The goal isn't to fit on a vinyl or anything, just to combine the latest two Floyd albums into one cohesive project. Some tracks have been excluded from the final running, as they either feature repetitions in themes and ideas, or are "tribute" songs that wouldn't have otherwise appeared on a non-eulogy album. I won't reveal the final track list yet (as I want to maintain some sense of surprise), but I will reveal one of the four suites. I do plan on actually creating this project and uploading it to Google Drive and/or YouTube, complete with custom artwork.

Pink Floyd - The Division Bell Complete: Suite #1
1. Cluster One
2. It's What We Do
3. Ebb and Flow
4. What Do You Want From Me?
5. Poles Apart
6. Surfacing

I hope that's tantalizing enough to garner some interest. ;)

I ended up having a free afternoon, so I sat down and did this all at once. I have combined The Division Bell and The Endless River in a way that I think sounds really, really good. I'll upload and release the final product tomorrow on Google Drives. I present to you, Pink Floyd's The Division Bell Complete.

Here is the download link for The Division Bell Complete. Here's a list of things I did for the project (probably forgot a few things, but whatever  ):

-Spliced together twenty-three tracks from both albums into four (mostly) continuous suites
-Removed most of the intro noise to "Cluster One" so that it starts closer to the actual music
-Excluded any songs that would have led to repetitions in themes
-Excluded any songs that were present on The Endless River solely to pay tribute to Rick Wright
-Excluded any songs that were present on The Division Bell that didn't directly work with the theme of communication

The songs that didn't make my final draft are:

-A Great Day for Freedom
-Keep Talking
-Things Left Unsaid
-Night Light
-Allons-y (1)
-Autumn '68
-Louder Than Words
-TBS9
-Nervana (although I did try to include it at first, I couldn't make it work)

Enjoy the Gilmour-era Pink Floyd the way it was meant to be enjoyed.

Since posting this, I've come up with a few ideas to improve it a bit. Like moving "Surfacing" to between "Marooned" and "Wearing the Inside Out", and making this two long suites rather than four compact suites by merging "Coming Back to Life" with "The Big Spliff" (TBS14).
