Never heard of them, but often times the smaller companies make the best instruments. Post a pic......
I will soon. Watch this space! Here's a little info on Tanglewood.
I've heard of them and played 2 or 3 of them in my time. Very good guitars.

Has anyone ever played an Eastman guitar? My acoustic axe is an Eastman, and it's pretty damn awesome. I did find out that the slightly more expensive ones (€800-900) are a lot better though. Wish I'd had the money to buy one of those back then.

Never heard of them. I do really want a Stratacoustic though!

Do those sound good though? I've always thought they looked really weird. If an electric-guitar-shaped body would sound good, I'm sure more brands would have a model like that...

My dad has a Stratacoustic and its a decent guitar. The problem is that it can't decide what it wants be ...... unplugged, the sound is not what you would expect from an acoustic because there isnt a big sound cavity. Plugged in, its mearly just okay because the pickup isn't really good (at least the standard one).

Well, I just bought an ivory colored Stratacoustic for $30 off of Craigslist. I've been playing it for the past few days and like it a lot. It has a smooth mellow sound to it when its plugged in which is what I was looking for. I'm primarily an electric player, so it works for me. If you're an acoustic purist you'll probably find it a bit underwhelming because of the shallow cavity. Wish You Were Here sounds great on it though!

I'll put a pic of it up pretty soon.

I might look into a hybrid electric thing. I hate acoustic bodies, no comfortable way to play them.

I'm thinking of buying this Squier Strat. This is to replace the hash-up I made of my current Strat which I messed around with to make it more like David's Black Strat. But I think I've arsed up the bridge or something because now the strings sit far to far away from the fretboard (at the body end, not the nut-end). It's also an Affinity Squire and a heap of shit anyway, so I'd like an upgrade.

The guitar in my OP has just had a big price drop so I actually bought it (even though I can't really afford it...)

Sitting down? I don't mind acoustic body sizes.

I really want a Fender Starcaster now. I've seen them on eBay for £300 but they're always in America so it'll cost me a bomb to import one.

I'm a pretty big guy but even sitting down acoustics are just too bulky. Hard to play, harder to record with. Much prefer electrics.
