I would post some dance party gif but I'm suspicious that every single gif on the internet has some kind of subtext that indicates something about the poster so I'll refrain in case the gif translates to the "internet savvy" as "this poster eats carrots off his own eyelids" or something.

I'm kicking off In The Flesh (the reprise, not the opening track), Waiting For The Worms, and Run Like Hell. Before anyone lashes out, I love the slippery guitar riff in Run Like Hell, but everything else about the song is ugly and misshapen and very unappealing. I know that's the point of the song, but dammit, this album got way too carried away with "ugly music which compensates for the story's failure to explain how ugly the situation is". I can't figure out exactly how to put this into words. I would like this song more if the surrounding songs weren't equally tuneless and just plain unpleasant to listen to. All about context. I know people love this song so it will probably be my pick for many rounds to come.

In a battle between the guitar riff that kicks off Run Like Hell and the gorgeous intro to Waiting For The Worms, I don't really know which would win, honestly. Probably WFTW, the bit up to "walk on by" is sublime before the song goes straight to shit.

I ain't makin' any new friends today! Hahaha... haha... ha... ehh.

All of my favorite parts got redone as "Allons-y", so the song doesn't mean as much to me any more. But my votes are for "Vera", "ABitW3", and "In the Flesh" (reprise).

Not asking you to change your vote, but I've never understood why people insist that Vera is a non-musical interlude piece. As far as this album goes, it's one of the most melodically memorable, at least to me.

"Does anybody else in here feel the way I do?"

One of the best melodies on the album, period. Without it, the song would be needless filler. With it, it's a passable track that still gets stuck in my head.

It's no masterpiece, but it has more melody than, well, ANYTHING on side 4 (well, I think The Show Must Go On is on side 4, so apart from that). Gorgeous melody.

"Vera" was the song that was eliminated yesterday, it looks like. "In the Flesh" might be next, I think.

I like Vera. This is one of the short songs that really stand out to me. It has nice melody, lyrics, orchestration -- pretty much a shorter version of Nobody Home without the piano.
